Master Food Preservers Share their Knowledge in 2016 Workshops

The Oregon State University Extension Service Master Food Preserver (MFP) program launched a series of cooking classes for Lane County residents.

Most classes will be held at the Community of Christ Church located at 1485 Gilham Road, Eugene unless otherwise noted. Register by filling out the appropriate form and either mailing or dropping off to the OSU Extension Service MFP in Lane County, 996 Jefferson St., Eugene OR 97402. Some classes have credit card payment options, see below.

2016 Spring Class Offerings

  • Class: Basic Food Preservation 101, Overview of Home Food Preservation for the Beginner. Saturday, June 25, 2016, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Mail in registraion form with check or pay with a credit card ($25). Class to be held at the OSU Extension Service office, 996 Jefferson Street, Eugene, OR. Enter door on 10th at the ramp.
  • Class: Cheese Making, Learn the basics, then make several soft cheeses. Class is Full. Please call 541-344-5859 to be put on the waiting list for another Cheese class (considering June for next class).
