The Local Foods Project

Oregon State University Extension in Lincoln County Oregon is pleased to announce a new initiative to connect farmers and restaurants/chefs. Through this proLocal farmers (John & Sally Reill of Telodo) visit with Dr. Garry Stephenson of OSU at their farmgram, producers can fax a request to our office when they have or plan to have produce they would like to sell to restaurants or individual consumers. Our office then relays this information to restaurants and/or consumers who then get in touch with individual producers and organize for delivery and pricing. Likewise, restaurants and consumers can request for produce they would like to have in which case our office will get in touch with producers and ask them to get in touch with the restaurants and/or consumers. Our main aim is to link these three parties to encourage relationships that promote growing and consumption of local foods. For those who do not have faxes, you can also call us on our toll free numbers listed on the Fax Request Form This is totally free to all restaurants, producers, and consumers alike in Lincoln, Benton, Linn, Lane, Polk and Tillamook Counties in Oregon. For consumers please use the Consumer Produce Request Form to fax, email, or mail us your request which we will forward to producers.
