Lifespan Respite Care Network for Lincoln County

Lifespan Logo

Family Care Connection's Lifespan Respite Care Network recognizes all caregivers need occasional breaks, whether caring for a child with a disability or a spouse with dementia. Caring for someone who requires intensive or round the clock care can leave you exhausted and stressed out. It can harm your physical and emotional health. Respite is a wellness concept. A brief respite break can restore both your emotional well-being and your physical energy, making you a better caregiver.

We connect families to respite care providers, respite payment resources and other respite related services. We offer information to help families navigate the process of hiring a respite care provider.

Read our 2007 Community Partner Update for current information about Lincoln County's Lifespan Network.

Start thinking about respite before you need it. Don't wait until you are burned out to take time for yourself. The earlier you start to make respite breaks a part of your regular schedule the more relief your respite breaks will provide.
