Lincoln County Chapter OR Small Woodlands Assoc - Annual Meeting JAN 26
The Lincoln County Chapter of OSWA will hold their annual meeting January 26 at the Spouting Horn Restaurant in Depoe Bay. Eric Oien, General Manager with Teevin Brothers, will present an overview of Teevin Brothers history and operations, update on the development and timing of the proposed log yard and exporting facility in Newport, and what the new facility will mean to local woodland owners and other stakeholders in the Newport area. Doug and Gwinn Kingery will discuss their successes and missed opportunities starting, what is now, a very successful Christmas Tree farm. Jim James, Executive Director of OSWA, will discuss state-wide topics important to landowners. Meeting starts at 10:30AM, Lunch about 11:30AM and end at about 3:00PM.
Lincoln County Chapter OR Small Woodlands Assoc -Seedling Sale March 9
Seedling sale will start at 9:00AM and end at 3:00PM at the National Guard armory, 541 SW Coast Highway next to the Pig n Pancake restaurant in Newport. This annual event is designed to provide the public with affordable native tree seedlings, promote natural resource conservaton awareness, and to increase tforest owners' knowledge and abilities as stewards of their land. Most seedlings will be $1.00.
