Office Scheduling
The Master Gardener office is staffed three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays by a group of volunteer Master Gardeners who answer questions from the general public on gardening. The schedule is now online. While you cannot make individual changes online, you can email the class scheduler to make changes for you. This online tool allows you to see how the office is staffed 12 months in a year.
The following are instructions on how to access and utilize the online calendar.
- Go to the Google main page - http://www.google.com/
- Access the Calendar feature in one of two ways:
- From the tool bar that includes ‘images', ‘gmail', etc., select ‘more', then ‘calendar', or
- In the search box, type ‘google calendar'
- On the ‘Welcome to Google Calendar' screen, if you do not already have a Google account, click Create An Account. This screen will ask for your email address, for you to create a password, and for your first and last name.
- After you complete the Google account process, Google may send you an email with a link back to Google. (This is to confirm your email and establish you on the calendar system. The signup process is only done once.)
- Whether through the Google email link or on your own, you want the ‘Welcome to Google Calendar' screen.
- Sign in. (This will take you to your own personal calendar page.)
- On the lower left of the screen you will see, Other Calendars. Click on ‘Add a Friend's Calendar'.
- Type, press Enter. (This should add the LCMGA Help Desk Calendar.)
- Click on the LCMGA Help Desk Calendar, the current month's calendar should appear. (Tabs in the upper right corner allow you to see several views: month and agenda work well.)
- At the top of the Calendar is a button marked Today, with arrows next to it. Use the arrows to see past and future months.
- The online calendar is for information only. To add your name to the Help Desk Calendar, contact:

- Your name will be added to the paper calendar in the Help Desk Office and to the Online Calendar.
- (You cannot add information to the master online calendar. Any information you add will only appear on your personal calendar.)
