Linn County 4-H Community Service Days 2011

This year we will have two opportunities for community service.  Each day we will be doing the same activities.  Please choose what day fits best for your schedule or attend both day. This year the stockings, lap quilts and cards will be going to the VA hospitals in Western Oregon.

Last year 100 4-H members and leaders participated in the 4-H Community Service day.  Invite your friends and families to come and participate in the community service day and support soldiers from the Northwest. 

Items you can donate for the community service day include:

*Card-making supplies (card stock, glitter, stickers, etc.)

*Fleece for Lap Quilts– 1 1/2 yards of two coordinating fleeces

*Stockings– Hand-made, approximately 8”x10” (more information and felt available to a club wanting to make stockings)

*Small single serving snack items (candy, gum, jerky, rice krispie treats, fruit snacks, candy canes, granola bars, etc. any item in single serve package that will fit in an 8”x10” stocking)

*Personal Care items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, soap, deodorant, etc.)

*Entertainment items (puzzle books, handheld games, etc.)

*Personal items (socks, handkerchiefs, stocking caps, etc.)

*Money to buy additional items or fleece will also be accepted (money to the Linn County 4-H Leaders Association)

Items can be delivered before the community service days or brought with your club the morning of the event
