OSU Extension
Forestry and Natural Resources Lending Library
What is the Linn County Extension Lending
Library?
In 2001, the Linn County Commissioners provided Linn County Extension
with funding to begin compiling a lending library focusing on forestry
and natural resources. The library contents focus on activities that
involve youth grades K – 12.
The library is specifically targeted at 4-H leaders and elementary
and high school teachers. Library listings are divided into 3 categories:
- Lessons and Activities: Lessons and activities gathered from OSU
Extension, the Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife, and many more.
- Lesson Kits: Kits that contain prepared lesson materials, such
as laminated cards, props, pictures, etc., for a specific lesson.
Consumable materials, such as paper, pencils, etc., are not included.
- Tools and Materials: tools and hardware for lessons to make it
easy for the instructor to find all s/he needs to complete a lesson.
