  • Hands-on Food Preservation Classes are offered throughout Linn and Benton Counties during the summer and fall.  
  • Complete up-to-date food preservation publications - All of our publications and fact sheets can be viewed and printed, free of charge.
  • Master Food Preserver Volunteer Program - Volunteer Master Food Preservers complete a 48-hour training program that offers information and hands-on experience in all aspects of food preservation. In return, they are expected to return 48 hours of volunteer time assisting with community canning classes and staffing information booths at farmers markets and community events.  Training begins each April.
  • Pressure Canner Dial Gauge Testing - Pressure canner gauges should be checked for accuracy on an annual basis. The Linn and Benton County Extension Offices offer this service, free of charge, during business hours. Bring just the lid or gauge into the office for testing.
