The Marion County 4-H Horse Program is the single largest project in Marion County. Owning or leasing, managing and training a horse is a large responsibility for a 4-H member. This requires coordinating support from 4-H leaders, parents, and the 4-H Horse Advisory Committee.

The Horse Advisory Committee in cooperation with the Extension Agent in charge is the driving force behind 4-H Horse Program development at the County level. As such, the committee takes the lead in planning, coordination, and evaluating 4-H horse programs that are designed to enhance the 4-H club experience for members and leaders.
