4-H Soccer has been our most popular 4-H club for Latino youth. In 2007-08, almost 600 kids from k-9th grade played on 33 different teams during our 18 week session. There were 70 adult volunteer coaches and assistant coaches working with the program, who were all screened and received training on organizational and risk management, positive youth development and CPR/first aid.
A 4-H Soccer Board, in cooperation with the 4-H Outreach Coordinator, is the driving force behind the 4-H Soccer program. As such the board takes the lead in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the 4-H soccer activities that are designed to enhance the soccer experience for all members, leaders, and their families.
