Applications will be accepted for the 35 openings until Sept. 27.</span><span style="font-size: 4pt; font-family: Verdana"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><em><u><span style="font-family: Verdana">YES – Youth Enviro Squad</span></u></em></strong><strong><em><span style="font-family: Verdana">:</span></em></strong><span style="font-family: Verdana"><span>  </span>One event commitments that engage students in service learning projects in the community and are larger team efforts to improve the environment.<span>  </span>These are mostly Saturday and school holiday events. Examples are the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">SOLV</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Beach</st1:placetype></st1:place> Clean-up 9/15, Make A Difference Day activities, other activities organized by watershed councils and other local agencies.<span>  </span>Scheduled events are TBD.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

The program itself is administered through <st1:placename w:st="on">Lund</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Sweden</st1:place></st1:country-region> and is designed to connect students with other students from around the globe.<span>  </span>The culminating event for this program in the Global Environmental Youth Convention (GEYC) which will be in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Beijing</st1:city>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">China</st1:country-region></st1:place> October 2008.<span>  </span>Site and classes times are TBD.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
