Downloading Instructions
- Goto the Quicktime
Download Page - http://www.apple.com/quicktime
- Scroll down and select Windows95/98/NT and enter your
email address.
- Then click the Download Now button.
- Make sure Run this program from its current loaction
is selected and click the OK button.
- Depending on how fast your internet connection is, the download
time will take between 20 seconds and 20 minutes.
Installing Instructions
When the file is finished downloading it will automatically
begin installing, but it will ask you questions along the way.
If in doubt, just click the Next
button at the bottom of the screen.
- You may receive a security warning. This is only a warning
so please click on Yes.
- Quicktime Installer will welcome you, click on Next.
- Click Next again.
- Accept the software liscence by clicking on Agree.
- It will ensure you have enough space on your hard drive.
Click on Next through the Destinatin Directory screen.
- Select Full installation, and click Next.
- It will automatically create a Program Folder for you, click
Next.
- Make sure all boxes are checked and click on Next
through the Plug-In Options.
- Enter in your name in the Registered To box and Oregon
State University for the Organization.
- You do not need a Registration Number so just click Next.
- At the next screen, click on Continue.
- Uncheck the boxes for the Readme File and Sample Movie, then
click Close.
Starting Instructions
- Close your web browser, Quicktime will not run correctly
until you do this.
- Close the Quicktime window by clicking on the 'X'.
- Open up your web browser, either Netscape or Internet Explorer.
- Goto the Botany Course video
welcome page. The URL is http://extension.orst.edu/mg/botany/video.html

If It Doesn't Work
- Reboot your computer.
- You must have a sound card and speakers to hear audio.
- Open the Quicktime player manually by double-clicking on
Quicktime Player from the dekstop, then goto the Botany
