This registration system will allow you to pay by credit
card or check. For payment by check, please postmark payment by March 5,
2010 (further details in registration system).
You will receive automatic confirmation of registration
through this system and we will verify your spot via email when all 65 spots
are filled. We will close the registration system after 65 people enroll
and will contact the entire interest list if any spots open up before the
training. We also expect to run the program fall 2010 (September 11- November

The cost of the training is $550 for one person or $1,000
for two people who register and pay together. Tuition includes instruction,
course materials, and volunteer support. We are unable to offer any
discounts or work-trade positions for the training at this juncture as the
revenue from course tuition is designed to cover our high costs of production.
requests need to be made in writing (via email or regular mail) 10 days before
event. Cancellation requests 10 days before the event are eligible for a full
refund of the registration fees (minus up to a $10 administrative fee).
Requests for refunds that are received fewer than 10 days before an event will
not be granted, however substitutions may be allowed.

66-hour training will take place Saturdays April 10 - June 26 (except May 29),

primarily occur in SE Portland at the Brentwood Darlington Community Center and
the Learning Gardens Laboratory (6801 SE 60th Ave) with several
classes at Luscher Farm in Lake Oswego.

vegetable gardens, ecological landscapes, ornamental plants, rain gardens,

more. It utilizes a hands-on and active-learning format to teach
participants about most aspects of growing and caring for plants without
synthesized chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

a variety of local gardening projects and organizations through a 30-hour
volunteer practicum. The volunteer
practicum takes place over the course of one full year after the class.
attendance of 80% (53 hours of 66 hours) of class time and completion of the 30
hours of volunteer practicum, participants will receive an official OSU
Extension Service/Oregon Tilth certificate of completion.
