May 1993	The Castle Report: On the University’s Third Mission: Extended Education: Final report to President John V. Byrne on the placement of the Oregon State University Extension Service within the University, prepared by Emery N. Castle, Professor Emeritus.
June 1993	The President’s Statement on Extended Education and the placement of the OSU Extension Service within the University
April 1994	The Transition Committee’s Report: Organizing, Planning, and Implementing Extended Education at Oregon State University: A Report to the Provost and Executive Vice President prepared by the University Extended Education Transition Committee Thirty-nine recommendations; appendices contain structure diagrams.
July 1994	The Arnold Memorandum The Provost’s decisions regarding the proposed changes, in the form of a memorandum from Provost and Executive Vice President Roy G. Arnold to Deans, Department Heads/Chairs, Directors, Staff Chairs, and Branch Station Superintendents
1995	New Definition of Scholarship The University’s Faculty Senate approves the new definition of scholarship for campus-wide use.
