Program Area

Breakouts by program area show a rather wide variation in NOW mean. Ag is most positive about the degree of integration, followed by Forestry. The positive trend over the last six years is highly consistent for the five items, across program areas (with the exception of only one item for one program area). Data table & Significance tests

Location

Campus-based Extension professionals gave more favorable ratings about the present level of integration than did county-based Extension professionals. For all three location categories, the trend over the last six years is consistently positive (with the exception of only one item for "other location" Extension professionals). Hire Date

By hire date (pre- vs. post-1995), there was only one significant difference in NOW averages. Although the longer-term staff are generally less positive in their responses to the questionnaire, they gave a significantly more favorable rating to 4b: Degree of integration of research and Extension in your program area.
