Outcomes for Oregon (regarding contribution to quality of life)Two questionnaire items addressed outcomes for the state of Oregon. These are outcomes related to Extension's ability, through its programs, to benefit to the citizens of the state. 3b. Extensions success in making a worthwhile contribution
to the quality of life in Oregon Responses to item 3b indicate that OSU Extension professionals believe they are making a positive contribution, but they did not perceive a significant change in this outcome indicator when comparing THEN with NOW. Item 3b was ranked first for THEN and third for NOW. The change from 1995 to 2001 is negative but small and not statistically significant. OSU Extension professionals are not as positive about their contribution for those who need help the most. The average rating on item 3c is significantly lower than the 3bs average rating, and the rank of 3c slipped from 12th to 17th. The following interactive graphic shows OSUES-wide average responses to these two questions. (Click the question boxes in the column to the right to reveal and hide the response arrows.) Averages for the mid-2001 timeframe are indicated by the orange arrows; average changes between 1995 and 2001 are indicated by the arrows pointing downward. (Data table)
