4-H Enrollment

Interested in joining 4-H, but not sure where to start?

1. Determine what project(s) you would be interested in from our Project List. 4-H can be made into what you want it to be, so if you don't find the projects you are looking for contact our office for more information.

2. Complete and submit a 2017-18 Member Enrollment Packet, please read the 2018 Enrollment Letter.

3. Send the forms to the 4-H Office with your enrollment fees before November 30, 2017 to exhibit at the 2018 Morrow County Fair.  Mail to: Morrow County Extension Service, PO Box 397, Heppner, OR 97836.

4-H Member Age Groups:

Cloverbuds - Kindergarten through 3rd grade
Juniors - 4th, 5th, and 6th grades
Intermediates - 7th, 8th, and 9th grades
Seniors - 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, and 19 year olds (1st year college)

4-H Annual Enrollment Fees:
The annual enrollment fee is a $18 per member state fee + $5 per member county fee.
There is a family cap on the state fee of $36 per family.
1 member family - State fees: $18 + County fees: $5 = $23 total enrollment fees.
2 member family - State fees: $36 + County fees: $10 = $46 total enrollment fees.
3 member family - State fees: $36 + County fees: $15 = $51 total enrollment fees.
4 member family - State fees: $36 + County fees: $20 = $56 total enrollment fees.

All fees and registrations are due by December 30, 2016 in order to exhibit at fair
. However, we will accept registrations year-round for other 4-H activities, such as camp, as long as event deadlines are met.
**Cloverbud 4-H members do not have to pay enrollment fees!  They are eligible to particpate in all 4-H groups except Livestock and Shooting Sports.
***Remember, just because you enroll in 4-H does not mean that you are automatically enrolled in the county fair.  Participating in the county fair is just another event you can choose to enter and participate in.  Enrolling in 4-H does not enter you into the county fair!

How do I volunteer in 4-H?

Morrow County 4-H is always looking for volunteers, whether it is as a club leader, for a one day event, or even at fair! If you would like to volunteer, send in a Volunteer Leader Enrollment Packet and contact our office for your application packet. Volunteers are always welcomed, but they go through a different enrollment process. There is no fee to sign up as a volunteer and once you have been trained and approved, curriculum is available at no charge.

Rule for 4-H Record Books:

Your Morrow County 4-H Leader's Council voted recently to change the 4-H record book rule.  Record books will no longer be due to the 4-H office before fair in July, rather, they will now be due the last week in September as a COMPLETE record book.  If you do not turn in a completed record book, you will not be eligible to enter in the county fair in the following year.  For more information on this, please see our Record Keeping page.
