Insect Defoliator Outbreaks: Large outbreaks of insect defoliators have recently occurred in areas of Eastern Oregon. A field workshop is being planned in cooperation with OSU Extension and the USDA-FS to review affected areas; it is tentatively set for July 27 in John Day. This educational program is available to landowners and anyone interested in learning about defoliators.
