Moisture control is the key to preventing molds responsible for human health problems, such as allergic reactions and asthma, and property damage, such as stinks and stains. Jeanne Brandt, 4-H Youth Faculty Advisor with the Washington County Office of Oregon State University Extension Service provides advice on mold prevention and clean up in the home.
High school students throughout Oregon are invited to showcase their writing skills in a statewide essay contest sponsored by the Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) program. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2005.
