The Oregon State University Extension Service is sponsoring two regional workshops, one in Albany and one in Canby, designed to help beef producers learn more about feeding cattle to maximize animal performance and minimize feed costs.

OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences announces an exhibit from the permanent “Art About Agriculture” collection, at Eugene’s Hult Center gallery from October 28 through December 2, 2005. The exhibit focuses on Willamette Basin agriculture and is called “This Everlasting Valley: Willamette Basin Farms.”
Educators, scientists, farm innovators, and organizational and community leaders are included in the 32 men and women named as 2005 Diamond Pioneers by the Oregon State University College of Agricultural Sciences. The 2005 group will be added to the college’s Diamond Pioneer Agricultural Achievement Registry on Thursday, Oct. 20, at a luncheon hosted by OSU Dean Thayne Dutson. The guest speaker will be Tammy Bray, dean of the OSU College of Health and Human Sciences.
