OSU's Art About Agriculture tour 2004 to open Feb. 22
February 16, 2004
An artists reception and awards presentation, held in the center's lobby Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
The Tour 2004 exhibit continues in the Giustina Gallery through the end of March. It will travel to Medford in April, Pendleton in June, The Dalles in July and Oregon City in August, where it will remain through mid-September.
The Art About Agriculture tour exhibit and artists' awards are sponsored in partnership with the OSU College of Agricultural Sciences and the E.R. Jackman Board of Directors and the OSU Foundation.
Harrison Branch and John Maul of OSU, and Sue Lynn Thomas of Portland, served as unpaid volunteer jurors for the competition. They selected 52 artworks of fibers, mixed media, painting, photography, prints, and sculpture for the tour. The 41 participating artists are from the Western states including Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The jurors granted $6,150 in awards, sponsored by Art About Agriculture patrons.
