Oregon 4-H youth specialist receives national award

December 3, 2004

ATLANTA - Mary Arnold, an Oregon State University Extension Service 4-H youth specialist, has been honored as winner of the 2004 Excellence in Evaluation Training Award.

She was recognized during the recent American Evaluation Association's annual conference in Atlanta, Ga.

Presented by the American Evaluation Association's Extension Education Evaluation Topical Interest Group, the Evaluation Training Award recognizes training of outstanding quality that furthers evaluation of Extension education programs.

Arnold joined the OSU Extension faculty in 2000, specializing in 4-H program planning and evaluation. In recent years the OSU Extension 4-H Youth program has become recognized as a national leader in program evaluation, due in large part to Arnold's evaluation research efforts and evaluation training programs for 4-H campus and field faculty.
