OSU undergrads in agricultural economics receive scholarships

June 5, 2012

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Twenty undergraduates in Oregon State University's Agricultural and Resource Economics Department have been selected to receive scholarships totaling $18,825 in 2012-13.

A committee of faculty members within the department selects students for the scholarships each year. The funds are awarded to undergraduates who major in agricultural business management; environmental economics and policy; or environmental economics, policy and management. The students are enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

OSU is engaged in a $1 billion fundraising campaign that includes a goal of $180 million for scholarships and fellowships – the largest effort for student support in the state's history. Donors wishing to establish scholarships at OSU may contact the OSU Foundation at 541-737-4218.

Students interested in applying for scholarships within the College of Agricultural Sciences should contact its academic programs office at 541-737-2211.
