Welcome to the Oregon Agricultural Extension Association!

The Oregon Agricultural Extension Association (OAEA) is the professional organization for agricultural faculty associated with the Oregon State University Extension Service.  We are the Oregon state affiliate of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA).  Our primary purposes are to provide leadership development and offer professional improvement opportunities for our membership.

The Oregon Agricultural Extension Association and its members are also part of the larger all-extension organization in Oregon the Oregon State University Extension Association (OSUEA). This organization also includes memberships of sister organizations ESP, ANREP, NEAFCS and the NAE4-HA.

Oregon Agricultural Extension Association provides support for professional development to its members through grants-in-aid provided by the Manning Becker Professional Development Fund. Becker was a popular ag economics teacher at OSU for over 35 years, with a fondness for seeing his students excel in learning and teaching. Over $3200 was distributed among deserving agents in 2008 to support their efforts to improve. Tax deductible donations can be made to the fund through the ER Jackman Foundation at OSU.
