Kids Can wash the spinach and tear it into bite sized pieces; rinse and slice strawberries; measure dressing ingredients and shake them in a jar.
Spinach-Strawberry Salad
1/2 bunch fresh spinach (about 4 cups torn pieces)
1/2 pound fresh strawberries(about 1 cup sliced)
Dressing:
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- Rinse spinach well, drain. Tear into bite sized pieces in salad bowl.
- Rinse and slice strawberries.
- Combine all dressing ingredients in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Shake well.
- Just before serving add just enough dressing to lightly coat leaves.
Makes 4 servings
