4-H Wild West Camp

Two options for 4-H Wild West CAMP in 2016:

      5 night Camp  July 11-16, 2016 - Cost is $260

      4 night Camp  August 16-20, 2016 - Cost is $225

The 4-H Wild West Camp is held at the Oregon 4-H Center just 7 miles northwest of Salem. To learn more about the 4-H center facilities, including maps, check out their website at: 4-H Center website.   It is open to all youth completing grades 4-7 (need not be a 4-H member).  This overnight camp is designed to give youth hands-on outdoor experiences like hiking, riding horses, canoeing, fishing, archery, swimming, natural science, digital photography, crafts, and more.  Campers are placed with trained high school age 4-H counselors and supervised by 4-H youth development staff.  Youth participate in traditional campfire activities with songs, skits, s'mores and more.

After May 1st, Late Registration is $300 for July Camp and $265 for August Camp

Horse Track -  Although all Wild West campers have one horse riding class, horse track campers get a class every day and stay in the bunkhouses at Horse Camp.  Campers will participate in the same free time activities, meals, and evening programs as regualar Wild West Campers.  Horse Track is open to youth completing grades 6 & 7.   Cost is an additional $100.  

4-H Wild West Horse Camp - July 19 to 22 - Cost $200

Similar to the 4-H Horse Track, this camp is open to youth completing grades 4-7.  This is designed to be a small camp of up to 20 youth with the focuse on learning more about horses.  There will be some recreational classes like Archery, Swimming, Canoeing as well.  Cost is $200.

4-H Wild West Horse DAY Camp - Cost $100 per week 

August 1-4 & August 8-11

Can't get enough of horses? 4-H Wild West Horse Day Camp is open to youth completing grades 4-8.  The day camp runs 9 am to 2 pm daily, Monday through Thursday August 1-4 and August 8-11.  The day camp will include riding and care of horses, learning horse breeds, physchology and behavior.  Craft and recreational activities will also be included.  Lunch is provided each day.
