Looking for a fun and exciting adventure and learning opportunity for both boys and girls during Spring Break?  Come and be engaged with other youth and take home a fun project.

Join us for Spring Break – Fun Break, a series of hands-on 4-H fun workshops for school age youth, held at the Polk County Extension Office, 289 East Ellendale, Suite 301, Dallas. 

FUN WITH QUICK BREADS TUESDAY, MARCH 25TH 9:30AM-11:30AM

Fun with Quick Breads: Open to youth 4th through 12th grades.  We’ll learn about reading a recipe, measuring ingredients and making several yummy quick breads you’ll get to taste in class and take home samples for your families.

 

GARDEN FUN         WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26TH 9:30AM - 11:30AM

Garden Fun: Open to youth kindergarten through 8th grade.  Find out how plants grow and plant your own house plant and container garden to take home.

 

CREATIVE CRAFTS     THURSDAY, MARCH 27TH 9:30AM-11:30AM

Creative Crafts:  Open to youth kindergarten through 12th grades.  We’ll be making a variety of hands-on crafts to make and take, along with fun science experiments.

 

Registration deadline will be, Monday, March 24th; class size is limited, so register early.  Cost is $2.00 per class or all three classes for $5.00.

Family Friendly Activities

  • Japanese Exchange program – host a Japanese Exchange Student for a month this summer.  Contact: Debbie McBeth
