Education Program Assistant 1 - Oregon State University Extension invites applications for a part-time (32 hours/week) SNAP-ED/EFNEP nutrition education position in Central Point serving Jackson County. Job includes hands-on direct education/teaching, as well as community-based work related to policy, systems, and environmental change. All programming is done with community partners, such as schools, food banks and pantries, and government and non-profit agencies.
Minimum qualifications: High school degree or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience working with limited-income audiences. Experience with Microsoft applications, and Bi-lingual/Bi-literate Spanish/English preferred.
Funding is provided in part by USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and through Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) federal funds, continuation beyond year 1 dependent on funding.
