With the help of a grant from Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, we are delivering a training and technical assistance program known as the LID Academy. The LID Academy is a series of trainings and consulting services aimed to help small cities and county departments, in the Mid and Upper Willamette Valley, develop stormwater plans and guides that incorporate Low Impact Development practices. These practices will help cities meet TMDL and stormwater related water quality requirements.
LID Academy participants receive both training and consulting services must meet these requirements:
Participants in the LID Academy were chosen based on their commitment and ability to meet these requirements, as well as the related potential positive impacts of these jurisdictions to mitigate and improve water quality of 303d listed streams.
Trainings: In-person trainings began in November of 2011 and will be held approximately every two to three months through the end of 2012. LID Academy participants can access free consulting services and phone/webinar conferences between trainings.
Next Training: Tuesday, Aug 28, 2012, 10AM-3PM. Go here for more information and to register.
