Tough Times in the Woods

Tough times are all around in 2009. And although the forestry sector has seen its share of economic ups and downs over the years, this year is proving to be extra volatile. In light of such Tough Times in the Woods, the Forestry & Natural Resources Extension team at OSU developed this list of websites to assist you in finding help, such as learning how funds allocated by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act are making their way into the forests of Oregon, and how these funds will translate into projects and jobs on the ground. How to Add Tough Times Button to Your Website

  1. Login to your website and choose where you want the Tough Times button to appear and click theEdit tab.
  2. First you will need to add the image. Insert your cursor where you want the image to appear.
  3. Click the Insert/edit images icon tough time button on the toolbar.
  4. A new window will appear. 
    In the Image URL field enter http://extension.oregonstate.edu/tough_times/sites/default/files/images/tough-times_195_60.gif for the smaller image 
    or http://extension.oregonstate.edu/tough_times/sites/default/files/images/tough-times_275_85.jpg for the larger image.
    In the Image Description field enter tough times button.
    In the Title field enter Get the help you need during these tough times

  6. Now you will add the link to the Tough Times webpage. Click anywhere on the image then click the insert/edit link iconlink icon on the toolbar.
  7. A new window will appear.

  9. Submit the page for approval. Once the page is approved the linked button will show up on your website.
