How to Add Growing Your Own button to Your Website

Drupal Websites

  1. Login to your website and choose where you want the Growing Your Own button to appear and click the Edit tab.
  2. First you will need to add the image. Insert your cursor where you want the image to appear.
  3. Click the Insert/edit images icon image icon on the toolbar.
  4. A new window will appear. 
    In the Image URL field enter http://extension.oregonstate.edu/tough_times/sites/default/files/images/grow-your-own_180x125.jpg for the smaller image 
    or http://extension.oregonstate.edu/tough_times/sites/default/files/images/grow-your-own_275x191.jpg for the larger image.
    In the Image Description field enter growing your own button.
    In the Title field enter What to do if you're new to gardening

  5. Click the Insert button.
  6. Now you will add the link to the Growing Your Own webpage. Click anywhere on the image then click the insert/edit link iconlink icon on the toolbar.
  7. A new window will appear. 
    In the Link URL field enter http://ir.library.oregonstate.edu/xmlui/handle/1957/21092
  8. Click the Insert button.
  9. Submit the page for approval. Once the page is approved the linked button will show up on your website.

 

Non-Drupal sites

  1. Add the link and the image as you would other linked images.
  2. The location of the smaller image is http://extension.oregonstate.edu/tough_times/sites/default/files/images/grow-your-own_180x125.jpg
  3. The larger image is located at http://extension.oregonstate.edu/tough_times/sites/default/files/images/grow-your-own_275x191.jpg
  4. The link URL is http://ir.library.oregonstate.edu/xmlui/handle/1957/21092
