The 4-H Emblem
The emblem of 4-H, since 1909, is the four-leaf clover. The green clover has a white "H" on each leaf, representing head, heart, hands, and health. The white letters symbolize sincerity and honesty while the green clover defines growth and youth. 4-H is head, heart, hands, and health, giving kids a way to give back to their family, community and future.
Head is thinking
4-H can help get you thinking as a team member, learn how to work alongside others to accomplish your goals.
Heart is feeling
In 4-H you will meet and develop relationships with others, learn to sort your thoughts, ideas, and feelings and share them with others.
Hands is doing
4-H can teach you valuable skills that can play an important part in the rest of your life. You'll not only do fun activities with 4-H, you will get hands-on experience for the future, learn new skills and ideas, explore and expand your interests, and improve your community all at the same time.
Health is living
4-H helps teach you to make healthy decisions about exercise and eating, feel good inside and out with your family friends and community. In 4-H, you'll learn how to develop a healthy lifestyle and discover the consequences of unhealthy decisions.
