Wallowa Adventures Camp (8th – 12th grade): July 30th – August 4th

Participants will have the opportunity to go backpacking in the Wallowa Mountains, experiencing creation and learning about environmental stewardship. Campers do not have to have experience backpacking, we will spend time on the Ascension grounds learning the basics of backpacking.

903 - Hancock Forest Management is offering a package of three 2017 LOP (Land Owner Preference) tags. The package consists of one cow elk tag in the Wallowa County Sled Springs Unit, one whitetail deer (600 series) tag in unit 649B - West Blue Mountains (archery/muzzleloader only) and one buck deer tag on any Hancock Forest lands in Northeast Oregon.

LOP tagCow Elks are part of the controlled hunt series program with some hunt units being under-subscribed (many tags available) and other units being over-subscribed (very few tags available). The successful bidder of this package has the opportunity to apply for these tags. Applying for an LOP tag in a particular unit does not guarantee that a tag will be awarded.

The successful bidder must possess a valid Hunter ID number prior to making application. All application information must be turned into Hancock Forest Management by April 30, 2017. The applicant will be required to provide additional information in order to complete the LOP application.

911 - Elkhorn Relay registation

US Bank of La Grande and the Elkhorn Relay have donated a "Crazy Bird" early registration fee for the 2017 Elkhorn Relay. The current registration fee per team is $1150 so this could be a great deal for you. Each team consists of 4-12 runners.

The Elkhorn Relay is a 204 mile race on August 11 & 12, 2017 that gives participants the opportunity to experience beautiful Eastern Oregon from Hilgard State Park to Anthony Lakes and back to Riverside Park in La Grande.
