4-H Awards

County Medals and Junior Certificates are two awards that recognize growth in the 4-H project over the course of the year. These prestigious awards will be presented at the Fall Awards Banquet on November 5th, at Ramsey Park Grange in Dufur. Forms must be complete and turned in with the member's record book by 5:00 p.m., October 11th. Members are responsible for completing the forms. Record books will serve as evidence of project work, so it is important that record books are up to date.
County Medals are for Intermediate and Senior 4-H members. Members may receive the same County Medal only once as an Intermediate and once as a Senior 4-H member. They may only win one medal per year. County Medals will be judged on experience in 4-H projects and activities (50%), experience in 4-H leadership (25%), and experience in citizenship and community service (25%). Junior Certificate Application County Certificates are for Junior members. Each member may be awarded certificates in two project areas per year, and they may win a certificate more than once. Certificates will be judged on growth and development within the project in the past year.
