The 4-H program recognizes our members, volunteers and leaders for outstanding contributions and achievements. Each November we hold an annual awards and recognition program to honor award winners.

2012 Awards and Recognition Program

Volunteer Awards

4-H members, leaders and volunteers are encouraged to nominate for:

• Business of the Year - This award is given to a business that has consistently supported the 4-H program and youth of Wasco County
• Friend of 4-H - This award is for the individual who has given a remarkable amount of time/resources to the 4-H program; often behind the scenes

4-H families are encouraged to nominate their leader for the 4-H Leader of the Year. This award is for outstanding 4-H leaders who go above and beyond the leader's role to ensure the success of the Wasco County 4-H program.

Youth Awards

4-H members are recognized for their participation and accomplishments.

Youth are eligible for additional awards if they turn in 4-H Record Books by October 1st. All record books receive a Gold, Silver of Bronze Seal. For each age division, the best story and two top record books receive awards, and the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Record Books receive special awards. 

Junior Certificate - A completed record book must accompany this application.

County Medal - A completed record book and must accompany this application.
