The 4-H program is a partnership between the land grant university system and non-profit support groups. When you make a tax-deductable donation to our county or club 4-H organization, 100% of your donation goes towards programming.
The Wasco County 4-H Leader's Association supports the overall 4-H program in our county. It is a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation. You can mail donations to the club program, the scholarship fund and/or special program directly to the Extension Office.
If you have items you would like to donate to the 4-H program, please contact us and describe your item(s).
The 4-H program does not accept live animals as donations. Giving an animal to a specific individual does not neccessarily qualify as a tax deduction (check with your tax accountant), and the Leaders' Association cannot assume the risk of owning the animal itself. If you have animals to give away, contact us and we will do our best to share your ad or e-mail with our 4-H families (if appropriate).
The Oregon 4-H Foundation and the National 4-H Council also accept donations to support 4-H Youth Devleopment programs. The OSU Extension Service accepts donations for statewide Extension support or you can designate your support for a specific county.
