About Us

Our Partners
The Inner City Youth Institute is made possible through collaboration between the United States Forest Service (USFS), Pacific Northwest Research Station (PNW), and Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program.

The USFS and PNW provide an annual grant to OSU Extension 4-H to fund staff, supplies and transportation for outdoor experiences. In addition, federal agencies connect their staff to volunteer and mentor opportunities throughout the ICYI program.

OSU Extension 4-H staff and trained volunteers implement the ICYI program, drawing on best practices in education and positive youth development.
