CPO1 General Meetings

CPO 1 meets on the first Tuesday
of each month at 7 pm at
Leedy Grange Hall in the Dining Hall Area
835 NW Saltzman Rd.

All CPO meetings are open to the public.

The next CPO 1 meeting is December 2, 7 pm.

Two important topics! Bicycle safety--in light of the tragic death of our friend and CPO 1 neighbor Kirke Johnson, and the future of the citizen involvement in Washington County.

. . .

Bicycle Safety: Science, Laws, and Public Behavior

In light of the recent tragic accident that killed our neighbor, Kirke Johnson, we will explore the latest research on safe ways for bicycles to travel in urban areas; the current laws (state and county) that govern bicycle lanes; and how our own behavior, whether we ride or drive, can improve public safety. We will have a panel including representatives from ODOT, Washington County, and the bicycle community.

Roundtable on the Future of Citizen Involvement in Washington County and Cedar Hills-Cedar Mill

OSU Extension Service recently announced its decision to no longer serve as the administrator of the County's CPO Program in the future. As a result, Washington County will assume program administration. We need to begin now to discuss the options and plan for the future of effective, independent Citizen Participation in land use and other aspects of our county government. Come to this meeting to find out more and share your concerns and ideas. Remember, “The world is run by those who show up!”
