Focus Groups to Inform Strategic Plan for Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services

Seeking Public Input
The County is seeking public input as they begin to develop their strategic plan for 2015-2017. Shrinking resources coupled with increased demainds for services makes it crucial to engage the community in the process. The purpose of the focus groups is to determine which issues are most important to older adults, veterans and people with disabilities.

The focus groups are scheduled for:

November 25, 1:30-3 pm
Beaverton Library, 12375 SW 5th Street

December 1, 1:30-3 pm
Forest Grove Community Auditorium, 1915 Main Street

December 2, 6-8 pm
Aloha American Legion Hall, Post 104, 20325 SW Alexander Street

For those who would like to provide input but are unable to attend a focus group, a survey will be available ONLINE.

 


 

Open Houses - Willamette Water Supply Program

The Willamette Water Supply Program is planning to develop an additional source of water from the mid-Willamette River at Wilsonville. This project will expand the Willamette River Water Treatment Plant and add pipelines and storage to serve communities in Washington County. Several pipeline route alternatives are being considered. Construction in most areas will not begin for several years.

Countywide Proposed Vehicle Registration Fee
Voters rejected the vehicle registration fee. The fee would have provided dedicated funding for maintaining roads throughout the county.

Eight-Month Closure of Oleson Road at Fanno Creek

The road will be closed to motorists while the bridge is replaced. A pedestrian and bicycle crossing will be maintained during the road closure.
