January-February 2013: Be Prepared for Emergency and Disaster
Sign Up Today for a Free Training to Map Your Neighborhood, offered by Washington County Sheriff's Office
The new Map Your Neighborhood program is designed to help neighborhoods prepare for disaster. Statistics show that 90% of all survivors of disasters are rescued by other survivors. It may be up to you to save the life of another or you may need to depend on your neighbors to rescue you or your loved ones.
Neighbors learn to work together as a team to evaluate their neighborhood preparedness after a disaster. Increase your capacity to survive and be self-sufficient for the first 72 hours after a disaster! Sign up today for a training in January or February 2013 (see details below).
There is no charge for the training or the materials. For questions or to reserve a spot, please contact Crime Prevention Specialist Darlene Schnoor at 503-846-2774 or Darlene_schnoor@co.washington.or.us. Class space is limited to 25 participants.
