(These references are also available to check out from the Yamhill County Extension Office.) Restoring Rare Native Habitats in the Willamette Valley, by Bruce Campbell. A Landowner's Guide for Restoring and Managing Oregon White Oak Habitats, by Dave Vesely and Gabe Tucker. Landowner Interest Group The Landowner Interest Group (LIG) formed to help landowners explore conservation and restoration practices, and how they might apply to the management of their own properties. The LIG is a loosely affiliated group of private landowners with an active interest in conservation and The LIG is an educational group sponsored by OSU Extension. It formed in August, 2004 to encourage and support ongoing educational field trips and related activities. We expect to host two or three tours a year and will visit restoration projects and other woodland sites of interest around the Valley. The LIG’s quasi-regular activities will be facilitated by Joanna Rentsch (2004/05), a private woodland owner in Polk county and Brad Withrow-Robinson, OSU Extension Forester for Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. Does this sound good to you? If so, get on our contact list!
