From the Ground Up Farming Program

OSU Extension Service, the Small Business Development Center and Lane Community College are teaming up to offer a 9-part class series designed for beginning farmers and others interested in expanding their knowledge about agriculture opportunities on a small scale.

The classes will be held at the Lane Community College campus at 4000 East 30th Ave., Bldg. 17, Room 310 in Eugene each month from 6-9pm, beginning November 2013.  Participants may register for the entire series which costs $150 or an individual class for $25 each.

Nov. 20--Exploring the Small Farm Dream

Dec. 11--All About Fruit Trees

Jan. 8--Raising Sheep and Goats

Feb. 12--Small Scale Poultry Production

Mar. 12--Growing Berries and Grapes

Apr. 9--Growing Vegetables

May 14--Marketing and Processing Your Farm Products

June 4--Diagnosing Plant Problems
