From an article by Eric Mortensen published in the Capitol Press

Jeff Olsen, who served commercial orchardists in Yamhill, Polk, Marion, Washington, Clackamas and Multnomah counties, passed away unexpectedly in January, 2014.  Work is currently underway to recruit and replace his position serving commercial orchard growers.  Applications for the replacement position closed on April 17, 2015.  A Search Committee is now reviewing the applications and hope to decide who to invite for interviews within the next couple weeks.  Depending on timing and schedules, the committee could be interviewing by late May/early June.  The new agent will be working from the North Willamette Research and Extension Center in Aurora.

These pages provide resources and information for Commercial Tree Fruit and Nut growers (orchard crops grown for commercial sale).

(Information for home/backyard orchards is available from Master Gardeners and Home Orchard societies.  A useful publication for general care of home orchards is EC 631  Managing Diseases and Insects in Home Orchards).
