Beef Basics Home Study Course. This course addresses topics important to the management of beef cattle, as well as issues important to the beef cow-calf industry. Materials will be provided for home study, and discussion sessions will be held every other week to go over the materials. Sessions begin again in the fall of 2005.

Beef Breed Information from Oklahoma State University

Oregon Feed Compendium
This compendium encompasses data from feed analysis conducted at Oregon State University over several decades. Included are the "Oregon Forage and By-product Library," "Mineral Content of forages Native to Certain Locations in Oregon", 1950-1979, "By-products and Unusual Feed Stuffs in Livestock rations," information from various studies by extension agents throughout the state, scientific and extension articles dealing with Oregon Forages, and various graduate student thesis from the Range and Soils Departments at Oregon State University.

Sheep Production Seminar November 2007

OSU Extension Lambing School. Held in January each year. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to increase your odds of getting live lambs on the ground and off to a good start! This school is held in a commercial sheep lambing barn, so there will be ample hands-on opportunities. The school will also include discussions on sheep nutrition and facilities.

The 2008 lambing school is set for January 22.
