Outdoor Education for Classrooms
Our programs increase natural science literacy in Benton County youth through the educational efforts of trained teachers, volunteers and community partnerships. Over 1,500 youth annually are engage in opportunities and projects to help them explore and learn about our local ecosystems.
Teachers and Volunteers engage students in Real World Learning Outside the Classroom Door connecting them to the natural world. It increases environmental science literacy and stewardship through engagement in research, citizen science, and projects.

4-H Wildlife Stewards Program is presently on hold, please check back for future updates
School-based program trains teachers and volunteers that engage youth in outdoor learning. Students increase their life skills and stewardship through engagement in research projects that reinforces and builds on education standards learned inside the classroom. Grades 2-6.
Oregon Season Tracker
Citizen Science program with a focus on collecting precipitation and plant phenology (seasonal changes) data to contribute to ongoing climate research locally and nationally. Teacher professional development, materials and classroom support for grades 4-12

Field study based full day field trip. Students do four outdoor activities centered around observation, data collection, lab experience, and making informed conclusions. Open to 3 & 4 grade classrooms from Title 1 schools.
