Things we will cover in all levels:

  • Proper position over and between fences
  • How to read, walk a course, and county strides
  • How to correctly fit and adjust your tack, plus what is or is not legal
  • Potential mark downs and eliminations

Level 1 9:00 - 10:30 am Designed for the beginning jump rider up to 18" cross rails, this level can be done at trot or canter. Riders should expect to see small courses with long lines and single fences. We will cover 4-H Horse Jumping Advancements 1 and 2.

Level 2 11:00 am - 12:30 pm Geared towards riders that are schooling 18"-2'3" verticals, this level will be done at the canter. Riders should be prepared to see small oxers, 2-3 stride combinations, as well as lines and single fences. We will cover 4-H Horse Jumping Advancements 2 and 3.

Level 3 1:00 - 2:30 pm Created for riders and horses that are successfully schooling or showing 2'6" and above. Riders should be prepared to see in-and-out combinations, oxers, short lines, and single fences. We will cover 4-H Horse Jumping Advancements 2 and 3.

What to bring and what to plan for:

  • Boots and helmets are required.
  • All attendees need to have a parent/guardian there with them at all times.
  • Please bring your 4-H Horse Advancements to get signed off at the end of each session.
  • Bring either cash or a check made out to Clackamas County 4-H Horse Advisory when you check in for your session.
