All enrolled and active 4-H members are eligible to enter. It is a fun and engaging opportunity to broaden your cooking and baking skills by preparing a meal or food item during the contest and presenting it to a judge with unique table setting, poster,and menu! Youth will also have an opportunity practice judging food items and a table setting display. Please refer to the Information Packet below for all contest details!

Registration is easy and online! Please read the Information Packet, then, fill out the Registration Form linked below and email it to Cheri Biskeborn. Cheri will contact you to confirm your time slot. If you have time restrictions, you may write them down on the Registration Form.
The contest is open to all ages - 5 to 19. Cloverbuds, ages 5-8, will present but not for competition. Members ages 9-19, may give a presentation for participation OR competition. Categories for registration include demonstrations, illustrated talks, public speeches, impromptu speeches and the performing arts. 2019 "Ranchers Choice" Market Beef Contest
The “Rancher’s Choice” contest is open only to Jackson County Beef participants exhibiting an animal born and raised in our county. It is brought to you by the Jackson County Heritage club and its volunteers. The Heritage Club provides educational opportunities, resources and community partnerships with a focus on educating and instilling the six Pillars of Character; Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Trustworthiness, Fairness, and Citizenship.
