4-H in Polk County offers more than 130 learning opportunities across project areas like cooking, health, biology, and engineering. Whether your child is interested in animals, STEM, sewing, or community service, there’s something for every age and interest — including Cloverbuds for ages 5–8 and teen leadership programs that help youth step into their potential.
Polk County 4-H is where kids explore their interests, build confidence, and grow into capable, curious young leaders. Youth ages 5 to 19 can join clubs, attend workshops and camps, and learn by doing in a safe, supportive environment. We’re also looking for adult volunteers — no teaching experience needed! If you have a hobby, a life skill, or just a little time to spare, you can help make a big difference for youth in our community.
