4-H Teen Teacher Corps Sponsor

Expand your outreach and engagement with younger youth with 4-H Teen Teachers Corps teams.  Sponsor a team of dedicated and passionate teens who want to make a difference in their community, practice their leadership skills and gain important workforce skills.

4-H Teen Teachers are trained teens ages 14-19.  All teen teachers undergo a 25-hour training with OSU Extension faculty and staff.  Teens learn skills and knowledge in positive youth development, leadership, child development, teaching strategies, group management and much more.  Teen teams also undergo specialized training in one of three tracks: cooking, nutrition and healthy living; agriculture and garden education; youth entrepreneurship.

All teens are recruited and screened (references and background checks) by OSU Extension.

4-H Teen Teachers Corps Sponsoring Agencies will:

  • Complete an online application
  • Attend a 1-hour orientation with OSU Extension Staff
  • Provide where possible a stipend for your teen teachers team

Once placed, Teens receive weekly ongoing training and support from OSU Extension 4-H.
