Just by living in the Pacific Northwest, it is obvious there must be at least a dozen varieties of fir trees. I would like a complete list with descriptions including the false ones and the true ones.
We do have such a resource. It is called Trees to Know in Oregon (EC 1450).
I believe most county offices have a copy if you want to take a look and make a copy of the fir pages. Most visitor centers also carry the book. So if you are at the coast or visiting Multnomah Falls you should see it. We do indeed have many firs to find.
